VIRTUS RATOON
Dogs roam, hovering over fences, climbing slides to rest
Raccoon dogs do too
Run along the bark of trees and fill their bellies
Ponds breeze faint sounds of paw prints
Walking steadily over twigs
Collapse softly into mysterious brisk air
Listening to violent cries roaring past the speed limit
Into the crevices of mankind
Opposite ends of this trench muddies
Ugly fists fly at a nearby traffic light
Such appreciation mingles in the fallen leaves before evening dusks
Animals of such caliber possess caution
Magic sake, half drunk blending with towns folk
An encounter expecting clumsiness
An offer graceful as it were given
There is hot blood in the dancing leaves
The one moment
Profanity in the next
Whimsical sandbags glow during nightlight
Tail bushed, paw locked in, teeth arching the tongue, bristles form against a sea of fur
An urban tell tale varies independently
A raccoon dog dividing one stream
